DRM Pradeep Kumar Agrawal has directed the officials to make sufficient arrangement for the devotee to visit Hoshangabad and come back on the occasion of Somwati Amavasya. AS per his directive 8 special trains (four each on March 14 and 15) between Bhopal and Hoshangabad.
The first train would leave Bhopal Railway Station at 4 in the morning on March 14 and reach Hoshangabad at 5.40 AM. The second special train would leave Hoshangabad on the same day at 6.10 AM and reach Bhopal at 8 AM. The third train would leave Bhopal Station at 6.10 PM and reach Hoshangabad at 9 PM. The fourth train would leave Hoshangabad at 9.30 PM and reach Bhopal at 11.25 PM. This way a total 8 Mela special trains would run between Bhopal and Hoshangabad. These trains would stop at Habibganj, Misrod, Mandideep, Itayakalan, Obedullaganj, Barkheda and Budni stations.
Senior Divisional Commerce Manager Yashwant Kumar Choudhary informed that the railways would be arranging facilities like special booking counter, drinking water, announcement of departure and arrival of these trains, and cleanliness at Hoshangabad station.
2- minute halt at Maihar of 18 pair trains during Navratri.
The railway administration would arrange for 2- minute halt of 18 pair super fast and express trains at Maihar during Navratri. Agrawal said that looking into the heavy rush of devotees to Goddess Sharda Devi Temple at Maihar on the occasion of Navratri, the railways have decided to halt 18 pair super fast and express trains for 2 minutes from March 16 to 30.
The trains are 1031/1032 Pune Manduadih Express, 1033/1034 Pune-Darbhanga express, 1045/1046 Coppergaon-Dhanbad Express, 1055/1056 Lokmanyatilak -Gorakhpur Express, 1059/1060 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Chhapra Express, 1067/1068 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Faizabad Express, 2669/2670 Chennai-Chhapra Express, 2295/2296 Bangalore-Patna Express, 2335/2336 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Bhagalpur Edpress, 2791/2792 Secunderabad-Patna Express, 2945/2946 Surat-Varanasi Express, 5269/5267 Lokmanya Tilak - Raxol Express, 5645/5646 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Guwahati Express, 5647/5648 Lokmanya Tilak-Guwahati Express, 6359/6360 Ernakulam-Patna Express, 8609/8610 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Ranchi eXpress, 9047/9048 Surat - Bhagalpur Express, and 9049/9050 Bandra Terminus-Patna (Rajendra Nagar) Express.
