A large number of people took part in the block level public welfare cum information camp in village Agara Kalan of Gram Panchayat Baghvada of Janpad Panchayat Hoshangabad. Many villagers complained revealing anomalies adding wrong names in BPL list and irregularity in construction works in the village.
SDM Sapna Shivale instructed to hold inquiry in the cases of irregularities. A large number of officials from different department were present in the camp along with Janpad Panchayat president Bhagwati Chourey, members of Janpad Panchayat, Tehsildar Sanjeev Keshav Pandey and CEO Janpad Panchayat KK Raikwar.
SDM Shivale made the BPL list read aloud and asked for the non-worthy names. During the recitation, it was found that the list was not updated. In the same way, serious irregularity of wastage of government money was revealed in the construction works. The SDM instructed inquiry in this regard. The officials from different departments told the villagers about schemes of their distinctive departments in the meeting. The officials of horticulture, agriculture, industry, veterinary, health and education departments gave detailed information about the schemes.
Shivale asked the villagers to tell the officials about any encroachment in the village. She asked the encroachers to remove it by themselves. She said that if they don't do so, strict action would be taken against them. The villagers should be aware of their rights, she said.
CEO of Janpad Panchayat told the villagers about funds allotted for various construction works in the village and their withdrawal and use.
