By Our Staff Reporter Bhopal, Mar 9: Unidentified looters on Monday targeted a locked house and stole valuables worth thousands of rupees during the day under Kolar Police Station area. Police said Suresh Budhkar (63) resides in Sector C, Sarvadharam Colony. Yesterday around 11 am he had locked his house and gone out for some urgent work. When returned he found his house burgled and ornaments worth over Rs 40000 was stolen. On complaint of the victim the police have registered a case and are investigating.
Youth beaten up, looted A rogue beaten up a youth and looted money yesterday evening under Shyamla Hills Police Station area. But the police swung into action immediately and arrested the miscreant. According to police Salim Khan (45) resides at Hata Rustam Khan. Yesterday evening he was going to market around 7 PM when Salim Palit, a known criminal, stopped and thrashed the victim and snatched Rs 350 from him. Salim immediately rushed to the police station and made a complaint. The police swung into action immediately and without delay arrested the accused.
Woman raped on promise to marry A woman was raped on promise to marry her. This happened under MP Nagar Police Station area. Police said a 20-year old woman, resident of Rajiv Nagar, complained to the police about Noushad Ali, residing in Dilkush Nagar. The complaint said Ali promised first the woman to marry her and later raped. The woman came to know later that Ali was going to marry some other woman. She reached Ali's residence but he refused to marry her. Police registered a case or rape against Ali and are investigating.
Stepfather was raping daughter, case regd On the complaint of an adolescent girl the Women Police Station registered a case of raping against her stepfather. According to the complainant the accused father was raping the girl since last five years. Police said a 16-year old girl residing in Shankar Nagar Slums complained to the police that her stepfather was raping her since last five years. Earlier too she had complained twice against her stepfather. But due to pressure from the accused she and her mother took back the complaint from the police. In spite of this the man was raping the girl. After investigation police came to the conclusion that the complainant was right. The police registered cases of rape and threatening to life against the accused. The accused is absconding now.
Duped on the name of god Under MP Nagar Police station jurisdiction a youth was duped of his valuables on the name of god. Police said that Surendra Kathli (18) son of RB Kathli, resident of Indus Town is working as computer operator in Fun City. Yesterday afternoon he had gone to a shop near Jyoti Talkies to get his laptop repaired. Two youths met him there and asked if he believe in Lord Ram. Surendra said he is a believer. Then they asked him to remove all valuables from his pocket, keep aside and chant 'Jai Sri Ram' for hundred times. Accordingly, he did so after closing eyes. But when he opened eyes after chanting 100 times, both youths, his valuables including laptop, wrist watch, cash Rs 500, mobile phone had disappeared. He tried to locate the dupers in the area but could not. Then he complained to the police. The police registered case against the unidentified duper and are investigating.
IG orders suspension of policeman A woman under Koh - e - Fiza Police station area tried to implicate others in false case. Inspector General of Police Shailendra Kumar dismissed from service husband of the woman. The dismissed police man was working as driver of Koh-e-Fiza Police station in-charge, MS Meena. The IG also instructed to register case against both the husband and wife. He also announced to give cash prize of Rs 5000 to Niahrpue Police Station in-charge BL Ahirwar who brought the real facts behind the case to light. When both wife and husband came to meet Shailendra Kumar today afternoon, he burst over the husband and threatened to take action against them. Wife's mother-in-law interfered and tried to bribe the IG. This enraged the police officer and he told them to get out. He immediately directed SSP Adarsh Katiyar to register case against the couple and give cash award to Nishatpura Police Station in-charge.
