By Our Staff Reporter Bhopal, March 4: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would shortly issue Rs 20 denomination banknotes without inset letter in both numbering panels in Mahatma Gandhi Series - 2005 bearing the signature of Dr D Subbarao, Governor. Except for the change in the inset letter, the design of these notes to be issued now is similar in all respects to the banknotes in Mahatma Gandhi Series - 2005, with additional/new security features issued on August 16, 2006. All banknotes in the denomination of Rs 20 issued by the RBI in the past will continue to be legal tender, RBI sources said.
SBI launches two new schemes to entrepreneurs Bhopal, March 4: State Bank of India (SBI) has been a pioneer in extending loan to entrepreneurs. It has supported enterprises in SME segment particularly small scale industries and services, SBI has now launched two new schemes to ensure that the entrepreneurs, who have viable projects but no collateral security do not suffer for want of credit facilities. SBI Micro Loan for loan upto Rs 5 lakh and SBI SME Collateral Free Loan for loan upto 100 lakh are the new offering under the credit guarantee cover provided by the CGTMSE. The Chief General Manager of SBI Bhagavantha Rao invited entrepreneurs from manufacturing and service sectors to take advantage of the schemes. SBI has set an ambitious target under a special campaign called SME FOCUS by March 31, 2010.
