Drought relief wheat to be distributed in 38 districts |

Bhopal Posted On Friday, February 05, 2010 | By Our Staff Reporter Bhopal, Feb 5: The state government is going to distribute wheat on reduced rates in 38 drought-affected districts of the state. This wheat will be sold against APL ration cards and 25-kg will be given per card at the rate of Rs 12 per kg. This is an additional measure of relief to people in drought-affected areas. For this purpose, the state government has allocated a quota of 20 thousand 639 metric tonnes of wheat to the collectors of the concerning districts for the months of January, February and March. This wheat has been procured from the Union government at the rate of Rs 1080 per quintal. After adjusting costs of packaging, transport and labour, it will be sold at the rate of Rs 12 per kg. A separate account of this sale will be maintained. Out of this allocation, 547 MT has been allocated to Bhind, 729 MT to Morena, 268 MT to Sheopur Kala, 834 MT to Gwalior, 645 MT to Shivpuri, 501 MT to Guna, 361 MT to Ashok Nagar, 326 MT to Datia, 355 MT to Jhabua, 246 MT to Alirajpur, 551 MT to Barwani, 605 MT to Khandwa, 329 MT to Burhanpur, 597 MT to Ratlam, 655 MT to Dewas, 645 MT to Shajapur, 448 MT to Sehore, 509 MT to Raisen, 594 MT to Vidisha, 623 MT to Rajgarh, 940 MT to Sagar, 525 MT to Damoh, 599 MT to Tikamgarh, 447 MT to Chhatarpur, 447 MT to Panna, 1110 MT to Jabalpur, 553 MT to Katni, 439 MT to Narsinghpur, 425 MT to Mandla, 298 MT to Dindori, 670 MT to Balaghat, 882 MT to Rewa, 895 MT to Satna, 442 MT to Sidhi, 381 MT to Singrauli, 439 MT to Shahdol, 328 MT to Anuppur and 291 metric tonnes of wheat has been allocated to Umaria district.
