Rs 1.25-lakh cheque presented to cancer hospital

Bhopal, Feb 4:
President of BHEL Ladies Club Bharti Dube today presented a cheque worth Rs 1.25 lakh on behalf of Blew Computers Centre and inaugurated a room built for patients at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital. The programme was organised to mark the World Cancer Day.
Dr BD Baderia, HMS and Dr Gyan Chaturvedi, Head, Cardiology from Kasturba Hospital, Dr MM Joshi, Chairperson and Dr KV Pandya, Director of Jawaharlal Cancer Hospital, PC Soni, vice president and office-bearers of BHEL Ladies Club were present on this occasion.
Ms Dube in her keynote address said that it is our social responsibility to help cancer patients. Cancer today is curable and efforts by Jawaharlal Cancer Hospital in this direction is highly appreciable.
Highlighting the various schemes run by the BHEL Ladies Club, she said that free Vocational Training Camps, providing basic facilities at school in BHEL adopted villages and free medical check up camps are some of the novel steps besides help to cancer patients.
