All nomination papers of mayoral candidates valid

All the 26 nomination papers filed for the post of Mayor, Bhopal were scrutinised at the collectorate today and found all of them valid. The returning officer and district collector Shiv Shekhar Shukla scrutinised the nomination papers in the presence of candidates and their representatives. The contestants are Sangita Shrivastava, Nazma Parveen, Suhas Pradhan, Saida Bi, Sangita Sharma, Asma Ajahar Anamika, Richa Ashok Anuragi, Yasmin, Divya Shukla, Krishna Gaur, Saroj Sharma, Deepti Singh, Suman Tiari, Rukhsana Bi, Hamida Bi, Dr Aradhna Garg, Abha Singh, Kranti Chaturvedi, Dr Shashikala Rajpoot, Manoj Jain, Fouzia Arshi, Arti Rajni, Anamika Singh and Pooja Dixit.
Nomination papers for Berasia Municipal President
Returning officer of Berasia Municipality Anoop Tiwari informed that all four nomination papers filed for the post of Municipality President were found valid after scrutiny. The contestants are Krishna Dharmendra Soni, Shahin Sami Afsar, Mrs Sunita Kushwaha wife of Pappu Bhaiya Kushwaha, and Mrs Sunita Rajmal Kushwaha.
Withdrawal by Nov 30
The candidates contesting for the post of Bhopal Municipal Corporation Mayor, Berasia Municipal Council President, and councillors of municipal corporation and municipality can withdraw their nomination papers by November 30.
District Electoral Officer Shiv Shekhar Shukla said that the contestants can withdraw nomination papers by 3 PM on November 30. After the withdrawal, election symbols would be distributed to the remaining candidates after 3 PM on November 30.
Cong announces Bhopal Dn Nagar Panchayat candidates
The Congress party has announced its candidates of presidents for almost all municipalities and Nagar Panchayats of Bhopal division. Selection of candidates for municipal presidents of Vidisha and Raisen is yet to be made. The party has announced Pankaj Sanghvi as its candidate for the post of Mayor, Indore.
Candidates for Nagar Panchayats are: Shyamu Bai (Javar), Hari Singh Verma (Nasrullaganj), Narendra Yadav (Rehati), Gokul Bai (Kotari New), Ajay Sen (Begumganj), Aruna (Sultanpur), Rajesh Kumar (Bareli), Munni Bai (Bari), Meena Singh (Udaipura), Janki Bai (Gairatganj), Satyaprakash Sen (Ganjbasoda), Narendra (Sironj), Aisha Bi (Kurwai), Motilal (Lateri), Seema (Sohagpur), Kusum (Badnawar), Rajendra Deshmukh (Betul), Anjana (Suthalia), Pankaj Kumar (Pachaur), Meena (Susner), Sangita (Baug), Sanjay Kumar (Talen), Shraddha Singh (Khilchipur), Gokaran (Jeerapur), Prem Sahu (Rajgarh), Manju Bai (Biaora), Mohammed Ali (Sarangpur), Dinesh Kumar Verma (Narsinghgarh), Vandana (Betul Bazar), Gudia Yadav (Multai), Manoj (Amla),  and Sushila (Machalpur).
