Bhopal, Nov 26:
A student tried to get admission to BE course at counseling held at Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogik Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) by producing a bogus mark sheet of Madrasa Board. On complaint of RGPV management the police have arrested him and registered a case under Section 420.
Bairagarh Police said the RGPV had organised counseling for BE course yesterday. Hundreds of students from all over the state attended the counseling. Almas Ahmed son of Shamim Ahmed, resident of Mangalwara Chhawni, had also submitted his mark sheet of Class XII of Madrasa Board for scrutiny. When the university authorities checked the mark sheet on Internet it was found that Almas Ahmed was failed. The university authorities had given the police an application to investigate the matter. After investigation the police found the mark sheet a bogus one and registered a case against the student. The police then raided his house and arrested him.
