IIFM bags Best Govt Business School award

Bhopal, Nov 9:
The Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal which has been ranked as the top sectoral management institute in the country by leading business magazines has now won the prestigious Dewang Mehta Business School Award for `Best Government B-School' for the year 2009.
The Dewang Mehta B-School award committee chaired by Dr Prasad Medury managing partner of Amrop International selected IIFM for this award in recognition of its leadership, development, innovation and industry interface in the area of natural resource management and conservation. The award was presented to IIFM in a glittering ceremony which was attended by chairpersons, directors, deans and senior professors of about 100 business schools across the country including IIMs at Taj End Hotel, Mumbai. Professor KN Krishnakumar and Professor Amitbh Pandey received the award on behalf of IIFM.
The Annual Dewang Mehta Business School Award has been constituted in memory of late Dewang Mehta who was the high profile chief of the National Association of Software Service Company in early years of this decade. Dewang Mehta was part of the national delegation on technology experts led by then IT Minister late Pramod Mahajan that visited Australia in 2001.
