MP Housing Board Commissioner Wasim Akhtar has informed that the construction work of 'Metro Walk' on the main road from Arjun Fitness Club to Tawa Complex has been started. The 'Metro Walk' is being constructed by MP Housing Board. The Walk is being established on one-acre land. In the rear side, 82 kiosk owners are being rehabilitated for which the price of a shop measuring 3.2 x 2.40 metres has been fixed at Rs 5.50 lakh. A five-storey shopping mall is being constructed in the centre of the complex where two lower storeys are being reserved for parking. The commercial complex will have two capsule lifts, service lift, fire-fighting equipment and adequate power backup for common lighting.
Total 68000 square feet area from the ground floor up to fourth floor will be available for commercial activities for which multi-national companies are being contacted. The total cost of the complex is about Rs 50 crore.
