Marawi takes oath |

Governor Rameshwar Thakur administered oath of office and secrecy to Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Jai Singh Marawi at Raj Bhawan here today. Chief Minsiter Shivraj Singh Chouhan and ministers Nagendra Singh, Vijay Shah and Uma Shankar Gupta were present during the occasion. Marawi was supposed to take oath during expansion of cabinet yesterday, but could not turn up on time. Chouhan inducted five cabinet ministers and four ministers of states during expansion. While minister of state Karan Singh Verma was elevated to the cabinet rank. All the ten ministers took oath yesterday.
With yesterday's expansion the number of ministers rose from 23 to 33. The 230-member Assembly could accommodate 35 ministers including the chief minister and there have been scope to accommodate two more ministers.
