Cong organises dharna, rally

Bhopal, Sept 8: 
The district Congress Committee led by its president Jahir Ahmed staged dharna, agitation and took out a rally to the District Collector's office and submitted him a memorandum against mainly unscheduled power cut.
Their demands include immediately stop unscheduled power cut, withdraw the increased power rate immediately, provide sufficient electricity to farmers, and release White Paper on power production. The memorandum warned that unless their demands are considered, the party would be forced to intesify agitation.
MPCC In-charge general secretary Rajiv Singh, Mayor Sunil Sood, Surendra Singh Thakur, PC Sharma, Jodharam Gurjar, Ashok Jain Bhabha, Govind Goyal, Vibha Patel, Anand Taran, Jaganlal Jhanjhot, Nasir Islam, Rakesh Vargiya, Sultan Ahmed Ali, Mahesh Malviya, Hyder Yar Khan, Muin Ahmed Siddiqui, Pradip Chouhan, Rasid Chand, Mustaq Malik, Gita Baghel, Raj Singh Guddu Chouhan, Rakesh Kathnera, Gita Sharma, Sabia Khan, Rafiq Qureshi, Sanjay Sahu, Sagir Ahmed, Varun Sharma, Sahavar Alam, Nasim Khan, Samim Khan, Gautam Morey, Amit Sharma, Munni Bai Mahavar, Rajni Sharma, Sharda Sharma, Anita Pal, Raisa Malik and hundreds of party workers participated the rally and dharna.

Cong probe into sale of women
Bhopal, Sept 8:
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today formed a committee for probing reports of alleged sale of women belonging to poor families as an offshoot of the drought situation in many villages within Tikamgarh district of the state's Bundelkhand region.
''The committee was constituted as per a directive of MPCC President Suresh Pachouri. Former Tikamgarh MLA Vrindavan Ahirwar and MPCC ex-secretary Chandrika Prasad Dwivedi were appointed observers,'' said Congress state General Secretary In-charge Rajeev Singh.
