Nation Posted On Friday, August 28, 2009 | United News Of India Bhopal, Aug 28: Rains lashing the Madhya Pradesh, including the state capital, in last 24 hrs would continue its action till two consecutive days. Meteorological Department Director D P Dubey said this today. ''Low-pressure area developed over the state results in rainfall,'' he asserted, adding as it was heading from east to west and good rains were predicted in the entire state, including Satna, Rewa, Jabalpur , Sidhi districts. Heavy downpour was also likely to occur in all the divisions in next 24 hrs. The rains started yesterday was still falling and several districts received ample downpour. Bhopal registered 30.8 mm rains while Indore (31.9), Jabalpur (17.6), Narsinghpur (34), Seoni (38.8), Pachmarhi (34.9), Sagar (19.1), Ujjain (24.1), Raisen (103.6), Shajapur (50), Sehore (61.4), Ashta (28), Budhni (121) and Hoshangabad (97.2) in the past 24 hours recorded at 0830 hrs today. However, intermittent rains have been lashing the state capital. Good rains would bring respite to both farmers and common man as 37 out of 50 districts of the state were declared drought affected.
