Development works to start in Old City

Urban Administration Minister Babulal Gaur has toured different localities of the Walled City today and directed the officials concerned to start several development works within a month.
He directed to develop four-lane road from Kamla Park to Budhwara and remove all encroachments on the way. Footpath and greenery on both sides of the road and central verge would also be constructed. The road would join the under construction four-lane road at Mangalwara junction from Budhwara. He also visited Lily Talkies junction and instructed the officials to repair the footpath and do some other works in the area.
Gaur later visited Bada Bagh. Hindu Muslim Ekta Committee President Sanat Ullah Siddiqui complained about increasing encroachment in the area and damaging the tombs of Nawabs by anti-social elements. He assured all possible help to beautify the area. Gaur directed BMC Commissioner Manish Singh to take charge of Bada Bagh and remove all encroachments from it.
Gaur inspected Chhola Road and the four-lane road construction up to DIG Bungalow. He also directed to construct 'Surabhi Toilet' near Jawaharlal Nehru Gas Relief Hospital at a cost of Rs 22 lakh. The minister also directed to construct cement concrete road from Gautam Nagar narrow bridge to Gautam Nagar Police Station.
BMC Commissioner Manish Singh said that Sulabh Toilet would also be constructed in the Shakir Ali Hospital premises at a cost of Rs 18 lakh.
