Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The tribals living in the dense forests, the tribal folk artists who kept their original culture alive and saved their culture, came to show their folk art, folk dance and folk music among the Bhopalis, then the hall of the house of Gandhi Bhavan became resonant. This was the occasion of the first day of the performance of two-day tribal folk dance, folk music and folk arts by the Kunjal Welfare Society.
In this programme, fine arts of bamboo sculpture crafts, Worli paintings, tribal home décor, Gond paintings, tribal jewelery, mask art are displayed from remote areas of Madhya Pradesh. The designs of rural folk paintings are decorated very beautifully, in which religious and spiritual paintings have been made. Small items for sankranti are also available for gifts.
Distinguished guest, Omkar Singh Markam, Minister of Tribal Affairs, duly inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Special guest DH Dharmendra Chaudhary DIG was present in the programme. Guests visited the exhibition and encouraged tribal folk artists.
President RN Patel welcomed the guests and briefly gave the introduction. The organization has set up a separate identity while working among children and women. To promote Indian art and culture, such events are being organized from time to time. Barwani’s folk artist Shrimini Shalini and group tied up with Malvi folk songs. Artists from Balakrishna Adivasi Ghatia Group, which came from Betul, mesmerized the audience.
More than one presentation was given by this group of Shri Arjun Waghmare. The programme reached its peak before the announcement by the guests. Folk artists were also very excited to see the newly elected ministers in their midst. President R.N.Patil and Shailesh Gaur greeted the guests with a souvenir. Prabha Gaur expressed gratitude.
The Minister of Tribal Affairs said that tribal society is the only society where the proportion of daughters is higher than the sons. There is no place for dowry practice in tribal society. There are many challenges in today’s world. The culture of tribals shows us the way.
