Tractor trolley overturns, several injured

Sagar: Over two dozen persons were injured on Sunday when their tractor trolley overturned near Hindauriya Salaiya, police said. The injured were rushed to the District Hospital. Three people, including two women, were stated to be in serious condition and were referred to Jabalpur.

Three killed in road accident

Raisen: Three people, including a police constable, were killed on the spot when their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the National Highway-12 near Mandideep, about 80 km from this district headquarters on Saturday night, police said.

The deceased were identified as constable Shubham Uikey, who was posted in Betul, Rohit Bhalawi and Raju Pedram.

Man falls in well, dies

Betul: A man died when he fell into a well at Banur village in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district, police said. The body of Bondru Thakre (38) was found from inside the well on Saturday. He was missing since Friday evening.

Youth kills self

Betul: A youth has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house at Ward No 12 in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul District, police said. Beniram Chandravanshi (35) took his own life on Friday. The reason behind the suicide was not yet known.

Collision kills 1 in MP

Shivpuri: A man was killed and another injured when their motorcycles collided head-on at Marwada village, police said. Rakesh Singh died in the mishap yesterday. The injured was admitted to a hospital here.

Truck-container collision kills two

Khargone: Two people were killed when a coal-laden truck and a container collided head-on and both the vehicles caught fire near a railway crossing on the Indore-Ichhapur Road in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, police said.

Two fire tenders fought the flames for two hours and controlled the fire. Two bodies were found inside the truck’s cabin. The deceased were identified as Rajasthan’s Alwar-residents Shahabuddin (45) and Zaharuddin (30).

Debt-ridden peasant kills self

Balaghat: A debt-ridden farmer has committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat district, police said. Shantilal (50) was reportedly reeling under a debt Rs 1.75 lakh. His crop too had failed.

He took his own life last night. Angry kin and villagers placed the body on the Naitra Chowk Navegaon-Linga Road and staged a road blockade demanding loan waiver and compensation. District authorities reached the spot and pacified agitators. The body was sent for post-mortem.
