Former champion Rajasthan Royals will take on Mumbai Indians in the opening match of the Champions League T20 Cricket Championship tomorrow at the SawaiMansingh Stadium. It would be the tussle between two legend cricketers-master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.
The league is the last T20 tournament for the Sachin andmay also be for Dravid. This will be Sachin’s last official matchon this ground. Sachin Tendulkar had announced that he will not play inIPL and T20 matches after conclusion of this tournament.
It will be an emotional moment for the master blasterSachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, as both of them will be seen officially together on the same ground for the last time.
Though, Dravid had ta en retirement from all forms ofcricket but Sachin has been playing in IPL and Test Cricket. Sachinhad announced that this year’s stint with IPL would be his last.
Mumbai Indians minus Lasith Malinga are in the group Awith Rajasthan Royals, Perth Scorchers, Lions and Otago.
Admitting that Malinga’s absence cannot be filled Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians captain however, did show his faith in other bowlers. “We have other good bowlers like Nathan Coulter Nile and Mitchell Johnson and some others also, so hopefully we will manage” said Rohit Sharma In the absence of Malinga, the credence on Harbhajan Singh will increase. The offie picking up 24 wickets in IPL 2013,will have a good chance to come back in the national team by performing well in the league.
