Survey damaged crops: Kamal Nath

KamalnathCNS, Chhindwara Mentioning that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan should have a survey conducted into recent crop damage due to hail in several places and submit a report, Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath — who represents Chhindwara in Parliament — today said he would endeavour to ensure central assistance.

The assurance was made after farmers showed him samples of damaged crops in Saunsar and Chaurai block headquarters. Mr Nath addressed several bhoomipujan programmes for schemes including those of the water supply schemes approved by his Ministry for the Saunsar and Chaurai municipalities besides a road-laying scheme approved for Chaurai. “Discussions are taking place not only in this state but also outside it that the Madhya Pradesh regime has failed in formulating schemes for a better future of youths. In this state, mafias operate in the sand, liquor, mining and all other sectors,” the Minister alleged.
