Special corpus of Rs 50 cr to promote students scientific experiments

CM inaugurates 44th National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that special corpus of Rs 50 crore will be set up for promoting scientific experiments by students. Shri Chouhan here today announced his in inauguration of the 44th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environmental Exhibition-2017 at RCVP Naronha Academy of Administration.

He said that promoting scientific talent of children is the responsibility of both government and society. He called upon students that they should hone their talent and does not get it wasted.

Never be disappointed and have passion to move ahead. He said that India’s past was glorious and the present will also be made glorified with the help of youth. Shri Chouhan said that the 21st Century is a century of India’s youth.

They will build new India. The exhibition was jointly organised by National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi and School Education Department, Madhya Pradesh.

This exhibition will continue till November 16. Addressing the students participating in the exhibition, the Chief Minister said that comfortable life and all the amenities available today are the result of the talent of scientists.

He said that science is a solution to every problem of life. The Chief Minister exhorted the young scientists that they should have a habit of thinking fundamentally; it will help in scientific inventions.

Discussing about the innovative efforts like Chief Minister Talented Student Promotion Scheme and Venture Capital Fund, he said that due to lack of funds the talent will not be left behind.

Shri Chouhan said that incubation center is being set up in the state in collaboration with New York University. Through this, innovative ideas and experiments will be promoted.

School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah and Minister of State for School Education, Shri Deepak Joshi also addressed the students. Director of NCERT, Shri Rishikesh Senapati gave detail of history of science, mathematics and environmental exhibitions.

He said that this exhibition, organized to create interest in the students, is one of the projects run by the NCERT. The Chief Minister saw scientific models displayed in the exhibition and appreciated students’ scientific thinking. The Chief Minister released book ‘Koshish’ published by Rajya Shiksha Kendra.

Details regarding model of young scientists have been collected in the book. Commissioner of Public Instructions, Shri Ajay Gangwar presented momentos to the guests.

Principal Secretary School Education, Smt Deepti Gaur Mukherjee proposed the vote of thanks. On this occasion, Director General, Academy of Administration, Smt Kanchan Jain, and director of Rajya Shiksha Kendra Shri Lokesh Jatva were present.

Exhibition This week-long exhibition is based on five topics such as health, industry, transport and communication, innovation in renewable resources for environmental development, innovations in agricultural production and food security and the use of mathematics in daily life.

143 students from all the states and union territories are participating in it. The aim of the exhibition is to promote innovation in science and to awaken natural curiosity towards science, mathematics and environment, to encourage creativity in children.
