Sooraj completely under Salman’s wings

SurajAfter playing godfather to ‘Ishaqzaade’ star Arjun Kapoor and many others, Salman Khan has now decided to shape-up Sooraj Pancholi’s film career.

Son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, Sooraj had recently made headlines for allegedly abetting actress Jiah Khan`s death (Jiah had committed suicide on June 3). After 21 days of judicial custody, the star kid was released on bail last week.On Friday, Sooraj flew to Hyderabad with his father to meet the superstar who is all set to produce the remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 blockbuster ‘Hero’ that starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri.

Salman had zeroed in on Sooraj to reprise the role (played by Jackie Shroff in the original) long time back. But following Jiah Khan’s suicide and Sooraj’s judicial custody, the makers of the film had wanted Salman to take a final call on Sooraj’s professional fate.
And now it seems that the industry heavyweight is in a hurry to launch Sooraj.

“’Hero’ was supposed to begin shooting in January 2014. It will now start in November 2013. Salman has asked the entire team to get into a work-mode immediately. The script is being re-worked to suit today’s times,” DNA quoted a source as saying.Legendary music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal had composed the songs for the 1983 super-hit and the latest version of the film will have some of those numbers. Sajid-Wajid have been taken on board to compose some fresh tracks.Confirming the news, senior Pancholi said, “Yes, by the grace of God everything seems to be getting back on the right track. We will be starting the film sooner than we thought.”
