Skill development summit will be held at the state capital on January 31 and February 1. Technical Education Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma reviewed preparations for the summit at a high-level meeting here today.
Skill development summit is being organised by the Technical Education Department with the cooperation of CII and National Skill Development Corporation. Apart from ITI and polytechnic students, industrial & commercial training providers and prominent personalities of the manufacturing sector, IT hospitability, tourism, automobiles, healthcare, BPO etc will participate in the summit. Union Planning Commission, FICCI and Union Labour Ministry will also participate in the summit.
The objective of skill development summit is to ensure better jobs for ITI and polytechnic college students and make available maximum number of skilled manpower to various sector from Madhya Pradesh.
Technical Education Minister Shri Sharma directed to ensure participation of vocational training provider institutions of the state and country. He said that agreements should be singed with such prestigious and expert for skill development which can also ensure cent percent placement of trained students.
Madhya Pradesh is the first state of the country, which has established skill development centres at the development block level. This summit is an effort for concretising the concept of making jobs available to persons trained at these centres. As many as 113 skill development centres have been opened in the state. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to open skill development centres in the remaining 200 development blocks also.
Additional Chief Secretary Technical Education Smt. Ajita Vajpayee Pandey and other senior officers were present at the meeting.
