SIT formed in Hemant case

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted for investigating the case involving Madhya Pradesh Congress legislator Hemant Katare.

According to official sources, Bhopal Deputy Inspector General of Police Dharmendra Chaudhary today announced a 10-member team headed by Bhopal South Superintendent of Police Rahul Kumar Lodha.

The team would probe into a blackmailing case lodged by the Congress legislator against a woman and her friend in the Crime Branch, a rape case registered by the woman against him in the Mahila Police Station and kidnapping and threatening case lodged against the legislator by the woman’s mother in Bajaria Police Station.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Zone-1) Dharmaveer Singh Yadav, Addtl SP (Crime Against Women) Shraddha Joshi, City Superintendent of Police (Jahangirabad) Bharatendu Sharma, CSP (Ayodhya Nagar) Rashmi Kharia, Inspector (Cyber Cell) Manjula Mishra, Town Inspector (Mahila) Shikha Bais, SI (Bajraria) DP Singh, SI (Mahila) Neetu Kunsaria and SI (Habibganj) Vandana Dubey are included in the team.
