Sanjay Dutt granted 30 day parole

sanjay duttAgencies, Pune,  Sanjay Dutt, who was convicted in 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blast, was granted 30 days parole here today.

The jail authorities said though they have not yet received the release order but confirmed that actor was granted the parole following his request in which he had mentioned that his wife Manyata is not keeping well past 15 days.

This is the second time within a month he is being granted parole.

Dutt had submitted his request application to the Divisional Commmissioner, Prabhakar Deshmukh, two days back.

The sources said Deshmukh has subsequently granted his request.

The jail authority said Dutt would be released from Yerawada jail once order will be received by the authorities.

The 53-year-old actor, who had surrendered after the Supreme Court confirmed his conviction in the 1993 serial blasts, is serving the remaining 40 months of his five-year sentence at Yerawada jail.

The actor would be taken to Mumbai in a special helicopter to
avoid the media crowd.
