Sanction Rs. 7396.52 crore for RHS

Bhopal : Urban Administration & Development Minister Shri Babulal Gaur called on the Union Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Minister Kumari Selja during his Delhi visit today and congratulated her for the initiative of Rajiv Housing Scheme started for the welfare of the urban poor.
During the meeting, Minister Shri Gaur informed the Union Minister that six cities of Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain and Sagar have been selected under the first phase of Rajiv Housing Scheme. Out of these, Slum-free City Plans to the tune of Rs. 7174.45 crore and Pilot DPR worth Rs. 222.17 crore for four cities – Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Sagar – have been forwarded to the Union Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation Ministry for approval. Slum-free City Plans and Pilot DPRs of Bhopal and Ujjain will also be forwarded soon.
Minister Shri Gaur urged the Union Government to approve Slum-free City Plans and Pilot DPRs of four cities at the earliest and release funds. Union Minister Kumari Selja assured Shri Gaur of early action in this connection.

During his Delhi visit, Shri Babulal Gaur also called on former Deputy Prime Minister and BJP Parliamentary Party President Shri Lalkrishna Advani, former Union Minister Shri Ananth Kumar and BJP’s National Organising Secretary Shri Ramlal.
