Sanchi products being displayed at ‘Gul Food-Expo’ in Dubai

Dairy Federations affiliated to MP State Cooperative Federation are producing and selling Sanchi products for over 25 years. For popularizing and giving global identity to Sanchi products, they are being displayed at Gul Food Expo going on from February 8 in Dubai.

The food-export will continue till February 12. Dubai’s “Gul Food Expo” is the biggest food expo in the world in which 4800 companies of about 100 countries are participating. For the first time, Sanchi products including gulab-jamun, rasgulla, kaju-katli, sweetened fragrant milk, milk powder, ghee and table-butter have been displayed on the global level.

Consulate General of India Shri Anurag Bhushan inaugurated the Indian stall. Chairman of Agro and Food Processing Products Export Development Corporation Shri Santosh Sarangi and MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation’s MD Shri Shobhit Jain were also present on the occasion. Dubai is emerging as a major market for Indian food products. A number of Gulf and African countries are also evincing interest in Sanchi products.

Team of Dairy Federation’s officers has held discussions with importers and exporters at the Food- Expo. Due to it, possibilities have emerged for export of Sanchi sweets, ghee, milk powder etc to Dubai. At the expo, visitors are appreciating taste and quality of Sanchi products at the Sanchi stall.

Dairy Federation has obtained export-import code number and registration-cum-certificate from Director General Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industries and registration from Indian Exports Inspection Board for export of products of state’s Dairy Federations.
