Rs 5100 cr MoUs signed before investors meet

Representatives of six industrial houses met Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today under the CM’s regular programme of direct interaction with industrialists.

MoUs worth Rs. 4,800 crore with J.K. Cement for cement plant in Panna district and Rs. 300 crore for producing white putty in Katni district were singed in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. Those who met Chief Minister Shri Chouhan included representatives of J.K. Cement, Zuari Fertiliser Limited. J.K. Laxmi Cement, Maharashtra Institute of Technology, S.M. Dyechem Group and Ruchi Soya Group.

It was informed Zuari Fertiliser Limited wishes to set up a natural gas-based urea manufacturing plant in the state. J.K. Laxmi Cement is desirous of establishing a cement plant in Satna district, Maharashtra Institute of Technology wishes to establish Art & Design University at Indore or Bhopal, S.M. Dyechem Group a dye and chemical manufacturing plant in Jhabua district and Ruchi Soya Group wishes to set up a food processing unit in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that there is immense potential of fertiliser production in the state, which should be tapped. It is also necessary for the country since it will reduce imports of fertiliser. He said that investment is being promoted in health and education sectors in the state. A conducive atmosphere for industrial investment prevails in Madhya Pradesh.

Those who called on Chief Minister Shri Chouhan included Managing Director of J.K. Cement Shri Yadupati Singhania, Managing Director of Messrs Zuari Fertiliser Shri S. Krishnan and Executive Vice-Chairman Shri H.S. Bawa, J.K. Laxmi Cement’s Shri S.K. Wali, Maharashtra Institute of Technology Chairman Dr. Sunil Karad, Shri Manish Shah of S.M. Dyecam Industry and Shri Kailash Sahara of Ruchi Soya Group.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri P.K. Dash, Additional Chief Secretary Shri M.M. Upadhyay, Commissioner Industries Shri R.K. Chaturvedi, TRIFAC Managing Director Shri A.K. Bhatt and Secretaries to Chief Minister Shri S.K. Mishra and Shri Ajatshatru Shrivastava were also present on the occasion.
