Rs 137 crore approved for Kolar Seep Link Project

The second revised administrative approval of Rs 137 crore 21 lakh 5 thousand was given for Kolar Seep Link Project at the Cabinet meeting here today. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan presided over. About 13 villages of Ichhawar tehsil from Sehore district will get benefit of irrigation on 6100 hectare in Rabi and 2600 hectare area in kharif season.

The Cabinet has approved to continue 10 priority projects selected by the Government of India’s Water Resource Ministry by 2019-20 under the Water Management Programme and Command Area Development run by the Water Resources Department and has permitted to continue 13 non-priority projects till 2017-18.

Through this programme, water utilization capacity of the irrigation canal system will be obtained after construction of the concrete field channel in 4 lakh 29 thousand hectare area in the coming 3 years. This requires an estimated cost of Rs 1566 crore 24 lakhs. The Cabinet has decided to get independent evaluation of the works taken up under this scheme through the third party.

The Cabinet gave principle approval of Rs 2871 crore 83 lakh for construction of building for high school and higher secondary schools under the School Education Department. Amendment in Mukhya Mantri Kaushalya Yojana and Kaushal Samvardhan Yojana. The Cabinet has decided to make amendments in the Mukhya Mantri Kaushalya Yojana and Kaushal Samvardhan Yojana in the Department of Technical Education and Skill Development.

Target has been fixed to provide training to youths who have left formal education system/ individuals who wish to develop their skills and want employment/self-employment/those who want certification of informal skills/women and other deprived groups/youths from Naxal affected areas/ youths from denotifed, nomadic and semi nomadic category. These schemes will ensure jobs and self-employment for youths which will further improve their living standard.

Chief Minister’s Economic Welfare Scheme The Cabinet has decided to approve Rs 30 crores from year 2017-18 to 2019-20 for the implementation of Chief Minister’s Economic Welfare Scheme run through Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation by the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department. Around 24 thousand beneficiaries would be benefitted under the scheme. Housing Assistance Scheme.

The Cabinet has decided to continue the Housing Assistance Scheme till 2019-20 from 2017-18 run by the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department. Under the scheme, it has also been decided that students studying in such Nagar Palika headquarters which are not divisional, district and tehsil/development block headquarters will be given housing assistance of Rs 1000 per month.

More than 99 thousand students will be benefitted through the scheme in the coming three years. Relief Fund Distribution Scheme to SC/ST victim The Cabinet has approved Rs 138 crores for implementation from 2017-18 to 2019-20 for Relief Fund Distribution Scheme to victim under Scheduled Caste and Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989 and Amendment 2015 and Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe (Yojana) Amendment Act 2016.

Government’s Ministry of Scheduled Tribe Affairs makes fund available for the strengthening of projects and evaluation and monitoring of the works approved under varied development works Article 275 (1) under Adivasi Upyojana. The Cabinet has approved Rs 37 crore 88 lakh for continuing the scheme for the next three years.

Outstanding students are selected in state from Class VIth from 8 Model Higher Secondary Schools and 4 Gurukulam Residential Schools through state level entrance examination. The Cabinet has approved extension of the scheme for three years. Through the scheme 8 thousand 40 students would be benefitted in the next three years.

The Cabinet has decided to give state government’s guarantee for the payment of interest on the loan amount of Rs 200 crores obtained commercial banks/other institutions to the Madhya Pradesh Finance Corporation. Approval of posts of Hostel Superintendents. The Cabinet has approved the posts of three male superintendents for 6 hostels and 3 women hostel superintendents of Barkatullah University Bhopal.

The Cabinet has ratified the order issued by the department related to the nomination of 6 members, one chairman, one vice-chairman in the Madhya Pradesh Safai Karmachari Ayog.

The Cabinet has also permitted to continue the temporary post of Commissioner Tourism from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2020 by the Tourism Department.
