Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Resources (independent charge) Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that the State Government has been making all-out efforts for improving power sector in the state.
He said that Rs. 10 thousand crore are being spent on power distribution in Madhya Pradesh. Consumers of all the categories will get its benefit. Shri Shukla was addressing a function after dedicating separated feeders at village Badawada in Ratlam district yesterday. Domestic consumers of 150 villages will get power for maximum 20 hours and eight hours for agricultural works after starting of two 11 KV feeders. Minister of State for Urban Administration Shri Manohar Untwal was also present on the occasion.
Shri Shukla said that the State Government has implemented ambitious feeder separation scheme for making Madhya Pradesh a golden state. He said that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken historic resolve of providing adequate power to both domestic and agriculture consumers of rural areas in the state, which will be fulfilled in 2013. He said that after feeder separation, adequate power will be supplied to consumers under new schedule.
Minister of State Shri Manohar Untwal said that challenging work of feeder separation is continuing at a rapid pace in the state despite adverse conditions. Villages will certainly get its benefit.
