Road transport, National Highways policy of MP appreciated

Bhopal : Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highways, Nitin Gadkari has appreciated policy of Madhya Pradesh government.

Gadkari was addressing national meeting of union road transport and national highways ministry in Vadodara (Gujarat) today. Home and Transport Minister Bhupendra Singh represented Madhya Pradesh in the meeting.

Transport minister Bhupendra Singh informed that Madhya Pradesh took several important decisions under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Twenty-one integrated check posts have been closed down to prevent wastage of time in transportation in the state.

All the services related with transport have been made online. Bhupendra Singh said that at present over 700 air-conditioned non-stop buses are plying in the state. Over 1.57 lakh women have been provided free licence facility till now. RTA has been given sufficient power for tourism in Madhya Pradesh.
