Ravindra Bhavan to have parking for over 1000 vehicles

Home and Jail Minister  Babulal Gaur has said that parking facility for over 1000 vehicles is being developed on the premises of Ravindra Bhavan. Rs. 65 crore works will be taken up to develop the premises as state-of-the-art cultural centre.

Gaur was inspecting construction work sites on the premises of Ravindra Bhavan here today. Collector  Nishant Warwade, Commissioner Municipal Corporation  Vishesh Garhpale, Director Culture  Shriram Tiwari and other officers were present on the occasion.

Gaur took a serious note of absence of parking facility on the premises of Ravindra Bhavan and parking of vehicles on the roadside. He said that parking of vehicles on road linking Old and New City creates a lot of problems. Parking is the prime need for coming to Ravindra Bhavan. It has adequate space.
Front area of Hindi Granth Academy is also lying unused where parking place should be developed at the earliest. He said that discussions will be held jointly with officers of concerning departments for finalizing outlines of proposed works. Collector, Commissioner Municipal Corporation and SP should prepare parking proposal. It should be such that over 1000 thousand vehicles can be parked.

Gaur inspected water sports centre at Lower Lake. He interacted with players and discussed ways to develop it on world level.  Gaur also took stock of arrangements at Khatlapura Mandir ghat and Neelam Park boat club.
Appreciating development works at both the places,  Gaur said that sanitation will be ensured and arched wall be constructed around the Lower Lake. It is necessary for the lake’s beauty as well as protection. He directed to complete pathway along banks of the lake from Fish Aquarium and Water Sports Centre.
