Urging partymen to focus on ‘Mission 272+’ in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections under its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, BJP president Rajnath Singh today accused the Congress of indulging in ‘’politics of conspiracy’’ against the Gujarat Chief Minister.
Addressing a meeting of party national office-bearers here, Mr Singh said the party cadres should work hard to achieve the ‘Mission 272+’ in the coming general elections.
The BJP chief said the Congress has already ‘accepted’ its defeat after the ruling party at the Centre was routed in the Assembly polls in four states.
He alleged that Congress indulged in politics of conspiracy to implicate Mr Modi and BJP. Congress was making baseless allegations against Mr Modi and the principal Opposition party, he charged.
BJP’s national office-bearers, state In-charge and other leaders met to finalise agenda for the party’s three-day National Executive and Council, which starts here tomorrow.
‘’It (the three-day national meet) will be the last session of BJP before the Lok Sabha polls. The office-bearers met to finalise agenda for the national meeting.
‘’This was a functional meeting,’’ party spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi told reporters.
He said the state units presented progress report about election campaign including rallies, ‘one note one vote’ programme, ‘Modi4PM fund’ and others.
Mr Trivedi said the BJP office-bearers also discussed about iron collection programme for the Statue of Unity to be built in the memory of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in Gujarat.
