In a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the NDA government’s ‘Make In India’ programme, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today said the Rs 10 lakh suit he wore during US President Barack Obama’s visit was ‘Make in UK’.

‘’The Prime Minister wears a Rs 10 lakh suit. Newspapers report that this is not Make in India. That too is Make in UK. And then he tells you about Make in India and employment. Did any youth get employment? No. He told you that Delhi is dirty and clean it.

He did not give you a job, did not lessen your suffering but put a broom in your hand,’’ Mr Gandhi said addressing a huge rally at Jahangirpuri in Northwest Delhi. Speaking at the huge rally, also addressed by poll campaign committee head Ajay Maken,

DPCC chief Arvinder Singh Lovely and general secretary in-charge for Delhi P C Chacko, Mr Gandhi charged the BJP and Mr Modi with failing to fulfil the promises made to the people during the Lok Sabha elections.

‘’During the Lok Sabha polls, Modi ji made a lot of promises. I had said one man alone cant change India. You voted Modi to power. Have your lives changed in the last 7-8 months? Have vegetables become cheaper? Price of diesel and petrol is dropping but there still is inflation.
