Agencies, New Delhi Congress vice presidnet Rahul Gandhi today held a meeting with AICC office-bearers, his first formal interaction with party workers after taking over as the number two position.
The closed-door meeting, held at AICC headquarters, was attended by AICC general secretaries, AICC secretaries, in-charges of states and chiefs of all the frontal wings of the party including Youth Congress, NSUI, Mahila Congress and Congress Seva Dal. This is the first formal interaction by Mr Gandhi with party leaders after being unanimously elected the vice president of the Congress at its two-day Chintan Shivir held at pink city on January 18 and 19. Earlier on January 23, he had met AICC office bearers. In his brief interaction with the media after joining his new office in the AICC then, Gandhi had made a strong pitch for positive politics promising to make Congress an ‘instrument of change’.
