Punjabi folksongs, dance enthrall audience

Bhopal : Karmraj Karma, Charanjeet Channi and others thrilled the audience with Punjabi folk songs and dance while Ustad Munne Khan and Abid Hussein accompanied them on Sarangi at a programme held at MP Tribal Museum organised by Tribal Folk Art and Dialect Development Academy under series Uttaradhar.

The programme began with Sarangi ‘jugalbandi’ presented by famous Sarangi players of Gwalior gharana Munne Khan and Abid Hussein. In the second phase of the programme Patiala gharana’s Charanjeet Channi and Karmraj Karma musical group held the audience spellbound with their presentation of Punjabi folksongs and dances including Jindua, Jhoomar, Gidda, Malwai and others.
