The Yash Raj film ‘Gunday’ aftercompleting its Mumbai schedule, recently shot their secondschedule in West Bengal. Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra features in the filmwhich is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by AdityaChopra.
The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. Half of the film was shot on a set in Mumbai and the restis being shot on actual locations in Kolkata. The story is about two crooks (played by Arjun Kapoor andRanveer Singh)who get involved with coal mafia and then becomegangsters.
Since the film is set in the 70s and 80s, the duo sports a rather retro look in the film. Priyanka will mostly be seen in sarees while Arjun will beseen in retro shirts with shoulder straps, front pockets andlong collars. The film features a lot of action sequences. Director Zafar said, ‘’We have worked a lot on physicalaspect of Arjun and Ranveer. The demand was for typical Indianactors and it is physically a very challenging role’’.
‘Kolkata brought a lot of joy to Priyanka as herperformance in Barfi was appreciated and everyone felt that she had donea fabulous job. In fact, after the shooting she said Kolkata isher favorite city and she loves working there.’
