President Shri Pranab Mukherjee inspected an exhibition on new researches on crops and other issues at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal today. The President praised new researchers, students and farmers. The exhibits include evergreen species of arhar pulse Richa-2000 and sugar-free variety of wheat A-12 developed by Shri Rajkumar Rathore, a farmer of village Jamuniya Tenk in Sehore district. Wheat yield is 18 to 20 quintal per acre with 12 kg seeds. Power-driven sugarcane bud chopper-cum-cutter and manually operated sugar bud chopper have also been displayed at the exhibition.
Wind-driven reaper developed by Shri Bhagwan Singh Dangi of Vidisha, mileage enhancement silencer developed by Shri bhagan Singh Vishwakarma of Bhopal, coil Sanjeevani developed by Shri Prakhar Parashar and vibration-based overtake alarm developed by Shri Aditya Parashar of Itarsi and puncturing instrument for water bottle developed by Shri Shiva Jyoti Choudhary and Ku. Rajshree Choudhary (Brother-sister) of Jabalpur are also on display.
