Left-arm-spinner Pragyan Ojha’s brilliant bowling efforts in the on-going Test series against England has helped him to hold on to his fifth position in the bowler’s chart in the latest Tests rankings list released by the ICC.
While Ojha is the sole Indian bowler in the top-10, none of the Indian batsmen feature on the top-10 list.
Ojha, who has so far grabbed 14 wickets from the first two Tests has 767 rating points to his credit.
Meanwhile, English off-spinner Graeme Swann, who has been instrumental for the visitors’ success in the series has rocketed six places to take the sixth spot.
South African pacer Dale Steyn leads the chart followed by Saeed Ajmal of Pakistan.
Among Indian batsmen, iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar is placed at 18th, while Cheteshwar Pujara moved up three places on 21st.
Australia skipper Michael Clarke reclaimed the numero uno spot among the batsmen after scoring his second back-to-back century against South Africa in Adelaide.
He is being trailed by Kumar Sangkkara of Sri Lanka and South African Hashim Amla.
