Power rates in Delhi reduced by 50 per cent for 2 slabs

A day after fulfilling his   party’s promise of providing free water to Delhiites,  Delhi Chief Minister today announced reduction of   power tariff by 50 per cent for two slabs.    This was announced by the CM after a meeting of the  Delhi Cabinet.

Mr Kejriwal told reporters that for 0-200 units and 201-400, the power tariff is reduced to 50 per cent.

He said 28 lakh people in Delhi will be benefited by this  decision.

These rates will be effective from today. The new Government in Delhi has served otices to all three power distribution companies in Delhi for   their audits, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced today.

Talking to reporters here after meeting Comptroller and  Auditor General (CAG), the Delhi CM said CAG is ready for  such audit. He said the power Companies have been asked to give  their reply by tomorrow that why there should be no audit.

‘’The Delhi Government has given notice to the power distribution companies for audit,’’ Mr Kejriwal said.
