Police should act quickly against criminals: CM

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that law & order is the top priority of state government. Police should not hesitate in taking strict action quickly against criminals. Shri Chouhan was reviewing 100-day action plan of Home Department here today. Home Minister Shri Babulal Gaur was also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that jail security should be reviewed from time to time. There should be no compromise with security arrangements.

At the meeting, information was given about the department’s 100-day action plan. It was informed that centres will be set up in jails for ensuring quick action in emergency situations. As many as 100 training programmes will be conducted for centre’s employees through Disaster Management Institute. District Disaster Management Scheme will be updated. Process is underway to establish office of the State Disaster Management Authority. During the next 100-days, tenders will be invited for construction of 2500 police houses.

Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shri Ajay Nath, Principal Secretary Home Shri R.K. Swai, DGP Shri Nandan Dube, Director General Jails Shri Surendra Singh and other officers were present at the meeting.
