Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal,Prime Minister Narendra Modi was apprised with the achievements of Madhya Pradesh in the field of irrigation on the occasion of dedication of the Mohanpura Major Irrigation Project.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Water Resources, Public Relations and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra were present on the occasion. Additional Chief Secretary Water Resources Department R. S. Julaniya gave detailed information about the increasing irrigation rakba to the Prime Minister.
Modi also reviewed the exhibition based on the development of irrigation area on the occasion.
PM Modi happy on wearing traditional ‘Safa’
PM Modi was introduced to the regional culture of Rajgarh district. He wore the traditional Safa popular in Rajgarh and Malwa region. Prime Minister Modi also seemed happy with this style of welcome. Earlier, a huge crowd of villagers in thousands along with public representatives welcomed the Prime Minister with slogans on his arrival on the helipad in Mohanpura dam area.
PM e-dedicates 2 schemes of Sehore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi e-dedicated 2 important development schemes of Sehore district during the programme organised in Indore. Beneficiary of Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme from ward no. 29 of Sehore Smt. Rekha Bohat thanked the Prime Minister in a direct discussion for being benefitted from the scheme. Smt. Rekha said that she received financial assistance of Rs 2.50 lakhs for changing her residence from a kuchha house to a pucca one.
The Prime Minister e-dedicated a sewerage plant constructed at a cost of Rs 62 crores 36 lakhs in and a newly developed park at Badiyakhedi constructed at a cost of Rs 72 lakhs. Chairman of Municipal Corporation Smt. Amita Arora, Collector Tarun Kumar Pithode and all corporators were present at the venue of the programme.
The beneficiaries told that they are very happy with the sewerage scheme, now the dirty water has stopped coming in the drains. Not only that they will get rid of diseases.
