Plight of Education

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) in his report of 7 years for the period 2010-16 revealed such a horrible things about the primary and middle school education that the Shivraj Singh Chouhan should tender resignation from the office.

The report said that most of the students in Government primary schools could not read and write and they do not know even the alphabets. The primary and middle schools education is the foundation of higher education.

The Education Department could not utilize the funds allotted to it. In five thousand schools there is not a single teacher and such schools are just on record but not in reality. Even such Government records are fraud.

The Government apathy towards primary and middle education in highly criminal attitude. About eleven lakh students left the studies after 5th standard and about 5 lakh students is dropped out after 7th standard. Under the Right to Education Act 2 lakh 20 thousand teachers are required.

While there is on 1 lakh 96 thousand teachers are on rolls. The numbers of admissions are sharply coming down. From 105 lakh 30 thousand to it has come down to 78 lakh 96 thousand.

All the Governments are by duty constitutional and legal obligations are protectors of constitutional rights. But in Madhya Pradesh the State Government itself is violating the Right to Education Act.
