Bhopal’s athletes dominated in Karate
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Today the athletes of various districts exhibited brilliant performances in competitions of Kabaddi, Volleyball, Football, Karate, Wrestling, and Athletics that were played at the T.T. Nagar Stadium Bhopal under the State-level Mukhyamantri Cup. Bhopal’s athletes dominated in Karate.
The players of all the sports exhibited a brilliant performance before the audience. It is to be noted that the Mukhya Mantri Cup was inaugurated on Monday by State Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia.
Here on Tuesday, the first match was of football (girls’ category). In the match, in Pool A Narmadapuram division team won the first prize. Sagar division secured second place.
In Pool B, Indore Division secured the first position and Ujjain division secured second place. The first semi-final match in girl’s category will be played between Narmadapuram and Ujjain on Wednesday. Besides, the second semi-final of the girl class will be played between Indore and Sagar.
In Karate match girl’s category Saloni Patidar Bhopal division secured first place, Shafaq Khan of Chambal division secured second position and Jhalak Tiwari of Ujjain secured third place.
Similarly, in the competition of 35 kilogram Tripti Pal of Bhopal division, Pragya Kachi of Jabalpur and Vishnavi Saiya of Gwalior division secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In 40 kg category Anushita Rawat of Bhopal won the first prize, Tanu Kootha of Jabalpur secured second position and Gargi Singh Parihar of Bhopal secured third position.
Girls of Bhopal exhibited an impressive performance marking the second day of Mukhya Mantri Cup. Matches of soccer, karate, kabbadi, football, athlete, volleyball and wrestling were played on Tuesday. The matches are being played at TT Nagar Stadium.
Aim of this event is to identify sports talents: Minister
Earlier on opening day addressing the opening ceremony, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, the Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare said that the aim of this event is to identify the sports talents at the grassroots level and prepare them for bigger platforms.
Appreciating the participants, she announced tracksuits to all the participants from next year onwards. She informed about the national and international achievements of MP’s athletes, during her speech.
Also, she motivated them by saying that their prime aim should be getting the entry in MP State Academies so that they could refine their talents under the guidance of expert coaches while utilizing world-class facilities. Ending her speech, she gave her best wishes to all the participants.
On the occasion, Dr. S.L. Thaosen, the Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department, said that Mukhyamantri Cup has been organized at the block, district and zonal levels, where the rural talents exhibit their sporting skills.
