Chouhan at farewell function of Chief Secretary

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that R. Parasuram’s personality is equipped with all virtues of a sincere worker. Chouhan was addressing farewell function of R. Parasuram at Mantralaya today. Quoting sholakas of Gita, Chouhan enumerated virtues of a sincere worker including that such worker is free from discrimination and egoism, unaffected in both success and failure, patient and enthusiastic. All these virtues are found in Parasuram. He has set a precedent of striking a balance between elected representatives and government servants during his tenure as Chief Secretary. He faced with patience and enthusiasm whenever state witnessed any challenge. He discharged best works immediately in the interest of state people. Expressing gratitude on behalf of state’s people to Parasuram, the Chief Minister presented him a letter of citation and memento.
Welcoming new Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa, Chouhan hoped that he will further accelerate pace of state’s development. He said that a comprehensive action plan should be chalked out for helping youths set up self-employment under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana so that small industries and businesses are set up in villages. He said that a high-level committee should be constituted for this.
Outgoing Chief Secretary R. Parasuram said that the new Chief Secretary will set new records of development in the state. Expressing gratitude towards Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, he said that under his leadership, the state has carved a distinct identity and citizens have imbibed the spirit of attachment with the state.
Incoming Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa recalled his experiences of meeting the then Chief Secretary when he was a probationary IAS officer. He said that he will try his best to live upto Chief Minister Chouhan’s expectations. He extended best wishes to R. Parasuram on behalf of Mantralaya staff. The letter of citation was read out by Principal Secretary General Administration K. Suresh. The programme was conducted by B.R. Vishwakarma. Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and other officers were present on the occasion.
