Pakistan urges US support for Afghan refugees’ early return

Islamabad,

Seeking the United States’ help, Pakistan has urged Washington’s support for early return of Afghan refugees and border management including fencing.

Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said the US drone has targeted an Afghan refugee in an Afghan settlement where over 1,100 refugees are living, a report in Radio Pakistan said.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter on Friday, Mr Asif said that the US had claimed that drone strike was not carried out against a refugee camp.He said the US support will certainly demonstrate commitment to peace in the region.
