Pak violated ceasefire 829 times in past 3 yrs in J&K: Mehbooba

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday said that Pakistan in past three years had violated ceasefire agreement for 829 times and during this period 41 civilians died and 55 security personnel attained martyrdom across the state.The question raised by the MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta in the Upper House.

As per the break up, in 2015, 222 ceasefire violations reported in which 16 civilians were killed and 71 injured while nine security personnel got martyred and 14 sustained injuries.

In 2016, ceasefire agreement was violated by the Pakistan for 233 times in which 13 civilians were killed and 83 got injured whereas 16 security personnel died and 74 got injured, replied the Minister In-charge Mehboobba Mufti.
