The Chief Minister Mr.Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the merger of teachers of different departments like Panchayat, Tribal Departments, local Municipal bodies etc. into one cadre under Education Department. It was long pending demand of the teachers for the last 20 years. Mr.Chouhan said that he was fortunate to do it now.
The decision will benefit about three lakh teachers with one pay scales, transfer, maternal leave, grace appointments, increments, insurance, pension, gratuity and medical facilities.
The Chief Minister has also announced the measures to improve the standard of the education. Conventions on the quality education will be organized at division level to ensure good examination results in Government schools.
The fee of the students who score 70 per cent marks in 12th class will be paid by the State Government on getting admission in the medical and engineering colleges.
The Chief Minister should take note of the situation that the post of thousands of teachers are lying vacant and many schools do not have buildings. On priority basis all the posts of teachers be filled and all schools should have its own buildings.
