NITI-Aayog Central and State representative visited Vidisha

Under the vision for New India and Vibrant India by 2022, NITI Aayog has declared Vidisha a backward District consequently a Two members team comprising Central member Sanjay Singh and state govt. representative Kailash Sharma visited Vidisha.

On this occasion a meeting of Government Departmental officials was conducted, which was attended by Collector Vidisha Anil Suchari, Upper Collector H.P. Verma and many other officers .

Central Prabhari of NITI Aayog saw the progress and achievements of Central Schemes, Health programs like immunization, ICDS workings at Aganvadi Centres. In the later part of their visit Prabhari Sanjay Singh talked to the Press. He said “ we have come here to supervise, State Government is doing work on schemes”.

He did not take the word “Backward Vidisha” seriously. He said simply we have to do more. On one side NITI Aayog declared Vidisha backward on the criteria of Education, Health, Nutrition, Road Connectivity, Rural Household Electrification, access to Potable Water, Individual Toilets, on the other side the Central and State representative are telling District is selected for more work to be done.

Senior Congress Leader Shashank Bhargava said that they were not allowed to meet with Central and State Prabhari. He also said Team did not specify the issues of backwardness.

He said that “how much money is allotted and spent on Education, Health and Nutrition was not explored”. He also said this is all Bhramjal . Shashank Bhargava demanded from President of India that Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Sushma Swaraj should be removed from their posts.
