New Delhi, Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday said the country will get the new education policy by December end.
Mr Javadekar at a press briefing here told reporters that zero draft has been made and will be submitted to peer group for review.
The policy is being prepared by a nine-member panel headed by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman K Kasturirangan.
The HRD minister also informed about new initiatives taken place in education sector in last four years and said transformational changes have happened on the principles of ‘Sabko Shiksha, Achhi Shiksha’.
On teachers’ vacancies in colleges & universities, Mr Javadekar said a meeting was held with Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Prof Yogesh Tyagi this morning and he was asked to address the problem soon.
