NCC team leaves for Republic Day Parade Camp

A total of 162 National Cadet Corps (NCC) Cadets representing the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh left for Delhi from Bhopal on 29 Dec 2013 to take part in the 30-Day Republic Day Parade Camp.

These cadets were selected and trained at Bhopal. A Farewell program was organized in the camp on 28 Dec 2013 in the camp location at Kolar Road. On this occasion Brig BN Singh, Group Commander NCC Group HQs Bhopal addressed the cadets and allied staff of the team and motivated ‘them to bring laurels to the Directorate by excelling in all competitive events to be held in the RDC Camp at Delhi.

A total of 2500 cadets will be assembling in Delhi for the 30-Day Republic Day Camp at Delhi representing 17 Directorates from across the nation. The Major competitive events in which the NCC Cadets of all three wings Army, Air force and Navy would. be competing against each other would be Drill,. Guard of Honour, Prime Minister’s Rally, Best Cadet competition, Cultural events and National Integration Awareness Presentation.
The MP & Chhattisgarh Dte team would be led by Colonel MJ Jacob from Raipur Group. A total of 4 NCC Officers, 5 JCO/NCOs, 35 Girls Cadet, 82 Boy cadets and 45 cadets from Scindia School, Gwalior representing Scindia Band comprise the team.
