Municipal Corporation siezes 105 condemn vehicles

The municipal corporation runs on Sunday ran a large scale campaign to seize unused and wastel vehicles while cleaning the roads and foot-paths of the city. In two days, 105 vehicles were seized and sent to Tracheing Ground while spot fine worth 1 lac 15 thousand was also recovered.

Actually, old vehicles were found lying on many places of the city. Mayor Malini Gaur and the corporatemen received complaints about it, while the cleaning workers said that these vehicles created difficulty while cleaning.

Such vehicles were found lying in public places, road sides, footpaths, gardens and empty plains of the city. Municipality Commissionar Singh made 5 action teams for this. With 2 cranes and 3 trolleys with each team, this campaign was started with the help of JDO and CSI.

On Sunday actions were taken in Shastri Market, North Temple, South Tukoganj, Kothari Market, Jawahar Marg, Chhoti Gwaltoli, MYH Road, Ushaganj Cantonment, Big Ganpati, Chattri Bagh, Timber Market Dhar Road, Rajiv Gandhi the intersection, AB Road. 103 unused and stolen vehicles were seized.

The Municipality posed spot fines against these shop owners. This campaign will continue now.
